My Chronicles # 16

Well finally found the time to write another post. Been busy watching Charmed until my husband deleted it. Arrrrgh. Anyway, our hard drive doesn't have enough space now I will just download it again when I have my own PC perhaps?! Err maybe after five years? Hopefully so. This coming week, we will be expecting a close relative coming home this weekend. The whole family will be there in Ali Mall. As for work, I'm pretty much enjoying it still. Thank God, I am still able to sell things even if I don't attempt to sell anything at all. I would say it's additional blessings coming from him. Thank you, Lord! I really like working for this new company so I don't think I would be leaving this one anytime soon. They will be adding a few things in our scope of support and I say... Bring it on! Hehe... I like learning about new things. Keeps me from being brain dead. It's the last day of work for the week again. New things will come on the next week. Hopefully, I get ano...

My Chronicles #15

June 27 - Was finally able to bring our printer/scanner to Sta. Lucia (TCA) for repair. We found out that the printer head was out. Good thing I brought it before the warranty lapsed because it costs less than 2500. It's like I bought a whole new printer! We had to eat our lunch in the mall since Janel's school is finished at 11:00AM. The husband wen't home ahead of us so I had time to let the little kid play in her favorite play place in the mall. Her 30-minute play was cut short though after I found it she "poo-ed" and her uniform and everything she wore was a mess! Arrrgh... I was forced to buy a new dress and underwear for her. The attendant told me she didn't ask for assistance. Well that's my baby, always trying to be independent. June 29 - Janel attended her make-up kumon class since she wasn't able to attend her class last Saturday (June 25) due to the rain. Met up with hubby and her in Ever Gotesco and ate in my favorite restaurant! Mang Inasa...

My Chronicles #14

Been lazy in posting a blog this past few days but I promised myself that I will continue posting so that it's easy for me to remember whatever has happened to me. One day last week, my daughter was telling me she was angry with her daddy and she won't tell me why. Then the next day, when I woke up from my day sleep at about 4PM. I saw her silently crying while eating her afternoon snack. I kept on asking her why she was crying, even asked her even her dad spanked her or if she was scolded. She said no. So I asked her to go upstairs and I told her we will play with her stuffed toys. She obviously didn't want to tell me so I had to reach out and figure out what she was feeling sad about. After a few tries, I finally guessed that the reason why she was feeling sad because her dad uninstalled one of the programs I downloaded and installed for her. It was an educational game. She really enjoyed the program however one of the punishments my husband did was removing it. My husban...

My Chronicles #13

June 16 (Thu) - Janel's Kumon day. We didn't have to move it when we found out the change of schedule. June 17 (Fri) - Attended a Parent's Orientation (after work) at about 9AM. Had a chat with one of the parents of Janel's classmates. I was the one who brought Janel back home. She seems to be feeling cranky, probably due to waking up early. June 18 (Sat) - Went home early to wash my dirty pants. I also had to wake Janel early since we plan to wake up early next morning for our trip to Olongapo. I also planned to bring my Brother printer for repair, but then I canceled it because my husband volunteered to help me take it to the repair center on Monday and he just asked me to rest until we go to my in-law's house to sleep. June 19 - I wasn't able to sleep too well, but then I felt though that our trip to Olongapo got canceled so I got to sleep longer than it is expected. Too bad, we had to cancel it because of the heavy rains. The road can be too dangerous duri...

My Chronicles #12

June 11 (Sat) - Slept in the office, ate at my favorite resto then went straight to Ever Gotesco to have my first Pap Smear in Medical City, Pasig Clinic. The doctor advised me that I have minor Cervicitis and I will be able to get the results after 10 working days. It's also Janel's Kumon day so I asked them to come over so Janel can play in McDonald's play pen. Went home to rest for a while, but I was too anxious to print out a few work papers so I start trying to print out a few however I found out that my printer is only printing out cyan and yellow ink. Arrrgh. I'm gonna have to bring it to Sta. Lucia for repair. Too much hassle. Tsk tsk... By evening, we went to my in-laws place to sleep over for travelling to Olongapo the next day. June 12 (Sun) - My family and my in-laws left at about 7am. Stopped over at a gasoline shop by 8am and then I also bought 2 boxes of Bibingka from Bibingkinitan for us to eat along the road. We arrived at our destination at around 9am....

My Chronicles #11

So far I'm getting the hang of our tools at work. Still trying to figure out though how I'm gonna lay out my windows. I was able to make a sale this morning at about 3am almost before getting off work. It's true, the sale would just come to you. I was almost thinking of giving up because it seemed that the work can be too challenging considering you still have to callback a customer after a few days to check if they have received what they bought or to update them of the delivery status of an order. Then there is setting up dispatches, arrrgh, but when I did it again it seemed simpler when I already knew what to do. So hopefully I can bear this up to at least 1 year. I also document one my calls that made my day less stressful . A lady at the onset of the call was too happy just by hearing my name. It went like this: Me: Thank you for calling. {},My name is Nellie...How may I help you today? Caller: What? your name is Nellie!? (laughing) That is my favorite name in the worl...

My Chronicles #10

Training's done, passed the practical examinations and just finished my second day in the transition queue. Call handling is not very hard, I'm mostly having difficulty about how the calls are logged and how cases are owned. As for last weekend, just stayed at home nothing much to do but a few simple house work I guess. Monday, I finally went to the bike shop to have our bike setup with a side car. It would be extremely difficult though to use it since our gate is not wide enough to accommodate it. Also had the chain of Janel's bike fixed. Later that afternoon, I picked up her books, went home rested for an hour then prepared for work! I was surprised that I wasn't as tired as I thought. Taking calls kept me awake. After work, I just slept in the female nap room. When I woke up, felt really hungry then ate Pork Chow Fan in Chowking. Also bought plastic covers for Janel's books, and markers for use at work (Each of us have our own white board and cubicle) When I go...

My Chronicles #9

After work yesterday, woke up my dearies because it's Janel's Kumon session day. Kulang pa rin sa tulog pero kinaya ko naman today. We got our Maxicare health cards at last. Will schedule a check up this week for myself probably this weekend. I'm kinda worried about the pain after urinating and I also feel tolerable pain in my lower abdomen. (This entry was for two days ago....was cut short while blogging it) ************************************************************************************* Already done with our call certification at last! Practical exam na ngayon for care and tech, then next week, off to TQ. Before going home dropped by at Janel's school. Wasn't able to pick up her books yet but at least I found out her classes won't start until June 13. Went straight to bed when I got home. Medyo kinulang pa rin sa tulog dahil may nang-istorbo na tumatawag sa phone ko. Pero mukhang kayanin ko naman kahit paano. Off to prepare for work again.... ciao!

My Chronicles #8

When I got home yesterday morning, I was meaning to use the PC to play games however I might wake my daughter and husband (who was sleeping downstairs), so I just opted to go upstairs and continued reading one my favorite books--Fitzwilliam Darcy, A Gentleman. Started feeling sleepy so I just went ahead and slept however I keep on waking up because I had to go back and forth to the wash room to pee ...sigh... Got up at 2pm after hearing my daughter's small voice downstairs. The husband took my place in bed while I go back in front of the PC to check my Facebook for a while then I let my daughter play a few of the educational games I installed. It was my turn then to lie down downstairs. I didn't fall asleep but I just simply let my eyes rest for a long time and visualize anything that would relax me. At about 6PM daughter got upstairs to wake up his dad. At about 7PM, we did her Kumon worksheet. 8pm, prepared for work, 9pm - reminded my dearies to go to bed early before I left ...

My Chronicles #7

- Period started yesterday (5/29) arrrggghhh...probably the reason why I caught cold and now, dry cough. - The oxians reunion attendees: Xian, Joy, Jan, Yzzie, Mhel, Glenn and me! Venue: Dad's 4th floor Megamall. Had a great time meeting up with the people I used to work with. - Woke up at 7:00am (5/30 Monday)... did my usual morning routine... Playing FB games!! Woke up janel at about 8am and bathed her to prepare her for her Kumon session. Her worksheets looks pretty good. So far my assessment matches the assessment of her Kumon Instructor. Notes: 5A level topics: 1 - 110: Saying the sounds of the letters; 111-170: Putting sounds together; 171-200: Step by step stories Also installed Gorbi's adventure in our PC for Janel to play with. An educational game which she enjoyed a lot. - All afternoon just stayed in bed, did not exactly get continuous sleep but I was well rested. 4PM went to the opthalmologist to pick up my new glasses! At last! Much better than my last one.

My Chronicles #6

Got a blistering cold from Wednesday until Friday while we were doing Total Solutions during our Training in Dell arrrrgggh. I had a really hard time trying to digest the discussion while experiencing a headache associated with the cold. The next day I just drank a lot of water and took Dolfenal for the headache. Didn't get rid of the cold but it did get rid of the headache which was a big help. Saturday morning after work, I just went straight to the nap room to sleep there for a while. Woke up at about 9:15am. Felt so hungry so I decided to drop in Lifehomes and eat in Mang Inasal however they said that it will take 20 minutes to cook the chicken. Disappointed, I just went to Ever Gotesco instead. Good thing they have Mang Inasal there. After eating, went to shop for a laundry hamper, doll for janel, and drinking containers (for me and janel) then of course bought lunch for my dearies. Went to bed at about 1:30PM, woke up at 7:00pm, ate my dinner then watched Pirates of the Carr...

My Chronicles #5

Last Sunday (May 22), we did something we haven't done for a few months now. Watch a movie! All three of us watched the Pirates of the Caribbean! I just love Johnny Depp! My favorite actor ever. Anyway, after watching we let Janel play for half an hour while we shop for a few things for our house. Then after her play we started shopping for the things that Janel will need for school. May 23 - Janel's Kumon Day! Had to go to the center myself for a PTC with the teacher and also to pay for the next month's fee. She was given an achievement test and she advanced from 6A to 5A level! She did it in a month! woot woot! Proud mommy of course hehe. After her session went stopped by at SSS to get an E5 form for the salary loan payment then went to PNB in Ever Gotesco. Paid at least 2 months. Today, got back home from work tired due to lack of sleep so when I got to bed, fell asleep almost immediately.

My Chronicles #4

Nothing new this past few days. Usual routine of getting off work, buy some food, get back home and get at least 4-5 hours of sleep. I also need to teach Janel her Kumon worksheets for the respective days. Lots of things to do though the coming week. I need to pay up my SSS Loan, Attend the PTC in Kumon, Pay Kumon Tuition Fee and hopefully I will be able to buy new glasses because my old one was broken. Havin' hard time catching up in training if I'm having trouble seeing the trainer's presentation. (Sigh) Everything involved money. Hopefully I would be able to completely adjust financially after a year. One thing though that I did before I went to work today is make my kid's medium sized swimming pool a bath tub. Put s0me Papaya soap, milk, water and voila! My very own bath tub. The little girl is requesting for me to cook leche flan again. Apparently, she liked the one I made using Pillsbury. I was curious so I picked it up from the store. Will try to make it the trad...

Starting Janel With Simple Math and Reading

The principal in Janel's school gave us a tip on how we can teach our child simple addition at home before going to school. Instead of using fingers to count or add, she told me to buy Popsicle sticks for adding. I bought it early this morning before going home from work. Before I left for home tonight my husband started teaching her simple addition and she was able to catch up easily and it looked like she had some fun. After doing Popsicles, she picked up her laptop and also did the simple addition there. As for her reading, she's slowly improving with the help of Kumon. The program gets a little complicated but I help her out understand by explaining to her every word that seems unfamiliar to her. I try hard not to spoon feed her. The program doesn't exactly include writing skills so in a separate sheet I ask her to write down three-letter words that are familiar to her. Hopefully, as soon as she goes back to school she will be able to apply everything she has learned.

My Chronicles #3

Was really tired due to no sleep since we just started our 10PM shift. Went sraight to bed, took off almost all of my clothes then went fast asleep then woke up at about 12 in the aftie by a loud karaoke singing outside because their still celebrating fiesta in our place. Also couldn't bear the heat!!! Arrgh!! Even if you turn on the fan, the air it blows is too warm for me to fall asleep so I just got up and greeted my daughter downstairs. Hubby and her are playing games on the PC. Meanwhile, I went ahead and ate my lunch. I felt the hunger I soon as I came down. It's really a bummer when you sleep for short hours. AFter their done with the PC, well of course I did my usualy thing on the PC, just played my FB games while my daughter is playing in her swimming pool. While playing, I heard an obviously drunk old man. He saw the sign "Bawal umihi dito" and said "Bawal pala dito kaya dito na lang ako iihi." My blood pressure metaphorically shot up, when I heard...

My Chronicles #2

Arm hurts tonight. Well that is because, we went swimming yesterday all day at the Club Manila East. It was a lot of fun of course. Only thing is my other in-laws did not come. It would have been more fun. Janel does her usual thing, always goes around on her own trying to be independent. Today, she wasn't able to attend her Kumon class. She seems to be really tired from all the swimming she did. So we just let her rest but was banned from going to play. Nonetheless, we went out to indulge ourselves with KFC Krushers! After that we bought our groceries. Didn't bother sleeping because I know I won't be able to fall asleep. What keeps on bugging my mind today was a slipper slapping may thigh. :( Whatever the reason is for that, it's not something I could easily forget. Pain that eventually goes away does not suffice, perhaps time will do.

My Chronicles #1

- LX Wallet got loaded up with P2,000 2:30PM - Woke up with a terrible headache, ate three cupcakes and pancit canton. Took Dolfenal for the headache. - played MyShops, LevynLight, Crime City and Mousehunt - Janel woke up at 10am. Heated up her KFC spaghetti for her breakfast then we did her Kumon worksheet. Three words this time and still kind of tough for her but I'm sure she'll improve. - Almost 12 in the afternoon when I started preparing for work...arrrgh!! Wasn't able to eat my usual lunch. Good thing I wasn't late. - Training day again!

Janel's Barbie Notebook

Yesterday I asked Janel if I could have her Barbie notebook because I wanted to use it for my expenses notes. She refused. I said it's okay and that I'll just buy a notebook outside. Before going out, my husband asked me to buy spaghetti for her. When I got back home, I was surprised when Janel asked me if I bought a notebook already and I said yes. I told her it's okay if she didn't give me hers because I thought the notebook was her favorite. She started crying and saying "Sorry na mommy." I was confused and didn't exactly know what she was crying about. I just assumed that she wanted to give me her notebook now in exchange for the small one I bought. So I started explaining to her that the small one is not intended for kids her age. We started preparing for bed and she took the Barbie notebook with her upstairs and she didn't stop crying. I told her I wasn't angry . I started pretending to accept the notebook so she would stop crying. I asked he...

A Letter for Janel

From the moment I knew you came to life inside my womb until now that you are three I have been loving you unconditionally and will continue to love you until the rest of my life. You are the best thing that ever happened in my life. Without you it is a dull world for me. You became my strength to go on with life. In return, I will be your strength as you grow older, I will protect you, I will be your shoulder to cry on, and most of all your best friend! I just hope and pray that God will give me a life long enough to see you finish your studies, have good friends, fulfill your dreams, fall in or out of love until you see the one for you, to see you marry and finally having kids of your own. I am not the perfect mother, or I may not even be close to perfection as others might say, but God knows how much I try to be perfect in so many ways that I can. I love you so much my little angel! You are my life.. (Just reposting from my website, this was first posted March 28,2009)
